IN-PERSON RETREAT WITH 3 FULL DAYS OF FiBERS, FABRIC, FABULOUS FRIENDS & FRiVOLITY!!

Have you ever made something that was 100% pure fun & you just enjoyed every last minute of the process!? That is how I felt when creating this petite scrap-book. Inspired by a trio of women who I took workshops from last year ~ Terri Brush, Nicki Franklin & Karen Adkins, they all stitched a sweet story of creativity, faith + love on my heart. Join retreat hosts April Lozevski & Leonore Driggs in creating an altered board book filled with treasured moments & found keepsakes. Together, we’ll be exploring a variety of mixed media techniques that will allow you to collect and display your stories, finds & mementos in an artful way. Techniques will include altering a children’s board book, collaging with paper & fabric, basic stitching, image transfers, making your own enameled buttons, visual storytelling & giving your new creation ‘Old Soul’…basically everything AND the kitchen sink!!

  • STiTCHED ON MY HEART

    Oh the techniques... altering books, collaging, painting, stitching, enameling, antiquing and learning a variety of ways to age paper & fabric. These cherished books will have vintage soul & grace a shelf in your home as a beautiful reminder of moments long remembered.

    Our Scrap-Books will be filled with the many collected fibers, fabric scraps, buttons, photos & bits of ephemera. With needle & thread we will build a book that serves as a record of the people, places & memories we hold close to our hearts.

    Gather your favorite vintage trinkets, grandma’s buttons, bits of fabric, lace & trim, old photos & mini mementos. Bookmaking has captured my imagination & I can’t wait to share this creative process with you!! XO, April

    The Creative Center is only a 7 mile drive from the airport.

    HOTELS + LODGING: The closest hotels are The Hilton Garden Inn, Hyatt Place & Scottsdale Marriott, all in Old Town Scottsdale. These are within one mile of the studio & plenty of restaurants, shopping & activities within walking distance!
