IN-PERSON BOOKBINDING WORKSHOP AUGUST 30 & 31, 2025

WORKSHOP DATES: Saturday, August 30th & Sunday, August 31st, 2025

  • JULIE'S PROJECT: Sacré Coeur Handmade Art Journal

    Together, we'll be creating a sumptuous fabric covered art journal from scratch. All materials will be provided in Julie’s kits, but feel free to bring vintage papers & ephemera from your personal collection. Each journal will be layered with decorative papers & vintage elements. SO YUMMY!

    APRIL'S PROJECT: Embroidered + Embellished ~ Beaded Sacred Heart

    I’ll be sharing some intuitive embroidery & beading techniques that I learned on my recent trip to France. Your kits will include fabric & vintage papers from French Flea Markets! Our finished Sacred Heart creations will grace the front of your art journals or can be worn as a broach…maybe both…

  • SATURDAY, AUGUST 30th

    9:30am - Studio will open

    10:00am - Meet the artists + begin workshop (Instruction with Julie Elefante)

    1:00-1:30pm - Break for Lunch

    1:30-5:30pm - Workshop continues (Instruction with April Lozevski)

    5:30pm - Workshop wraps for the day

    6:00pm - Group dinner in Old Town (not included in price of tuition)

    SUNDAY, AUGUST 31st

    9:30am - Studio will open

    10:00am - Finishing touch demos + free creative time

    11:30pm - Light Brunch + Snacks

    1:30pm - Workshop wraps for the day

    2:00pm - Share + Tell

    3:00pm - Workshop Concludes

    The Creative Center is only a 7 mile drive from the airport.

    HOTELS + LODGING: The closest hotels are The Hilton Garden Inn, Hyatt Place & Scottsdale Marriott, all in Old Town Scottsdale. These are within one mile of the studio & plenty of restaurants, shopping & activities within walking distance!

    THIS WORKSHOP IS NOT REFUNDABLE: You may transfer your spot to another person if you are unable to attend. Please contact us right away so we can connect you with someone on the wait list.
